How often do I need to do yoga?

It is recommended to practise yoga 2-3 times a week to gain maximum benefit but of course, once a week is still good for your body, mind and soul!

Do you have pregnancy yoga?

We don’t have a dedicated pregnancy yoga class but you are most welcome to join in any class & the teacher will make any necessary modifications depending on how far you are into the pregnancy. Some of our students are mum who practised yoga throughout their pregnancies with these modifications.

What do I need to bring/wear to class?

Wear something comfortable eg. Shorts/gym pants & T-shirt/singlet. In winter, wear layers. Bring your mat, some water and money/pass. If you don’t have a mat, you may hire one for $2 for the class.

How do I claim yoga classes with my health fund?

We can issue receipts for your yoga classes however all health funds have different criteria. Please contact your health fund for more information and send us an email request.

I have a new injury, can I still come to class?

Yes, because it is still very important to keep your body moving to some degree during the healing process but please let the teacher know and s/he will give you modifications so as not to aggravate the injury.

At Winston Hills Yoga & Therapies, we are passionate about health and well-being – the natural way. We are a boutique yoga studio offering smaller classes and our teachers are all qualified with at least 200hours Yoga Australia recognised training and regular ongoing training. With a combined teaching experience of over 25 years, you will get the necessary attention and instruction needed to learn the poses that you generally don’t get in gyms. We sense a feeling of community – we are more like a family. Come, have fun, relax and make new friends!

 

We keep our classes small (average class size is 6-10 people) so you get the attention and help you need to grow and develop in your yoga practice.

We also provide private lessons for those who want something more customised, Corporate classes for businesses and their staff PLUS Kids Yoga classes for primary and high schools in the area.

We have a range of natural therapies including different styles of massage, dry needling, moxa and acupressure massage.
